“Taking all of our shared experiences, our fears and hopes, our dreams and devastation, the words which have been thrown at us so carelessly over the years and the words we so desperately needed at times but couldn’t find. The people, places and situations that have made us feel attacked, or perceived by others as ‘less than’, often unconsciously, taking all of this into account, and much more, we arrived at ‘SHOW ONE!‘…. We think you should too.”
Newly formed in 2010 by a small group of talented Actors & LGBT community members (The Core Four), Pink Triangle Theatre will create and perform shows with powerful messages aimed at tackling homophobia, bigotry and intolerance.
‘SHOW ONE!‘ is our first production, a 30 minute, monologue based, powerful and punchy performance. Click the ‘SHOW ONE!‘ page for details of this production and comments from the audience of the world premiere. Comments and feedback can also be found on the ‘Past Shows’ page.
We are already planning ahead to future productions in which we hope to be working with as many multi-talented people of ALL sexualities as we realistically can. Our plans extend to speciality workshops for schools, colleges, workplace environments etc, national tours, and even in the long term, a brand new musical.
P.T.T is an equal opportunities endeavor. If you would like to get involved with our young, dynamic and forward thinking company then please contact us by email to tell us about yourself and how you might help.. We aim to provide opportunities for performers and technicians whenever possible.

How it all began…..
It had been over ten years since Paul J. Burgess and Jason D. Bromley had left Oldham College, and both had often talked about ‘getting back into’ performance in some way. Together they were (and still are) running Performance Plaza, a non-profit community based organisation offering Performance and Music workshops to all, and although this was a wonderful way to keep a toe in the stream of entertainment, it was not enough.
They had both regularly attended shows at the Oldham College, always wanting to support local talent, and of course the College itself, and it was at one of these shows, the fantastic musical ‘RENT’ to be exact, that they met one of the cast, Stuart-James Fairley. Friendships were soon in full bloom, and that was perhaps the most important part of this journey.
Paul and Stuart would often spend Wednesdays together, in Manchester, eating lunches, drinking copious amounts of cocktails, and discussing, well, the world in general actually. They became close friends.
Stuart then met Thomas Eric Moulton, and a relationship was begun, so it was of course only a matter of time until an introduction took place, and then they were all friends.
The four of them.
During one of their gatherings at Paul & Jason’s, Paul suggested that they might all consider doing something ‘performance based’ together. He talked about a group he had seen once performing a show about racism, and suggested that they might all do the same with homophobia.
The name came easily. A poem written by Paul in response to the 2009 attack on PC James Parkes, had been used as a handout at a local ‘Holocaust Remembrance Day’ in his home town of Oldham, so the association had already been made. Gay people were made to wear the Pink Triangle in concentration camps, such a powerful symbol.
Paul suggested the name ‘Pink Triangle Theatre’, and even the idea for the name, style and content of the first show ‘SHOW ONE!’.
Luckilly for him, or maybe for them all, everyone agreed to this new venture, and the journey was begun.
Pink Triangle Theatre, is born.

I came and watched your performance at Oldham pride. It was fantastic and reduced me and my friends to tears.
The performance was powerful in getting its message across, but also engaged the audience with it witty bits.
well done guys and good luck.
